Zahra Yarali, who joins Negotiation Works as a 2024 summer intern, grew up in Murray, Kentucky and recently graduated from Yale University with a bachelorβs degree in psychology, modern Middle East studies, and education studies. While at Yale, she was a community organizer working with Muslim and Eastern North African student populations, successfully advocating for religious housing accommodations and a MENA cultural center set to open in fall of 2024. She also worked as a research assistant in a cognitive development lab, investigating cultural- and gender-inclusive practices for teaching and learning. She joined NW to learn more about how organizations like ours incorporate feedback and research to provide participants with vital life skills and to gain experience in a variety of aspects of non-profit project management.
