We are thrilled to share news about two new partnerships! We are joining forces with the Pivot Program at Georgetown University, which is a one-year transition and re-entry program for formerly incarcerated individuals. The Pivot Program combines academic work focused on entrepreneurship and employment readiness with supported employment. We look forward to working with Pivot's newest cohort of Fellows, the majority of whom are men, and we have customized our negotiation curriculum to meet the unique needs of this group. Negotiation Works volunteer instructors Derek O’Leary and Charlene Proctor are joining Melissa Reinberg in leading this course, which will run twice a week (over Zoom) for 8 weeks, from late November through late January.

In October, we partnered with Community Family Life Services to teach negotiation to residents living in their Trinity Arms House. Trinity Arms provides housing, intensive case management, life skills programs, employment training, therapy, parenting classes, and more for reentry women and survivors of domestic violence. Melissa Reinberg and volunteer instructors Khiran Sidhu and Aburiyeba Amaso led a spirited 4-week Negotiation Works course via Zoom for seven women in the program. The women's feedback was overwhelmingly positive, and we look forward to returning to Trinity Arms next spring to teach another course with the residents there.
