Curtis Patterson was born and raised in Washington D.C. He attended H.D. Woodson Senior High School. While incarcerated he earned his GED and studied VT Carpentry, VT Cabinetry, ServSafe Management, as well as participating in programs devoted to developing leadership and mentoring skills. More recently, Curtis attended ThriveDC which is a work readiness program for returning citizens. Curtis just graduated from the Georgetown University Pivot program where he took the Negotiation Works course as part of his studies. Curtis is currently interning with the Department of Small and Local Business Development (DSLBD). Curtis networks at events on behalf of DSLBD and assists with various projects from food waste management to BIZ OPPS (business opportunities for small and local businesses). Curtis would like to work for a local business that does community engagement in order to provide resources to the community.
